A bit about new single Ruler of the Universe,

Working as a nurse, I have come across some interesting people and stories. One such person inspired the idea for this song.
This was someone with a complex history of mental illness.
They had attempted to murder a family member before turning the weapon on themselves. Fortunately they were unsuccessful. The moment they woke up, they were hand cuffed to the bed and placed under arrest.
When asked why they did this, this person replied. ‘I am the ruler of the universe, the order was disrupted. If I did not do what I did, humanity would have suffered for eternity’.
This incredibly delusional and grandiose statement in the face of some serious trouble stayed with me.
I wrote this song from their perspective.
